These past two weeks I've noticed so many little things Lilly Rose is doing now. Lately, there seems to be a new accomplishment or adventure almost daily. It blows my mind that we celebrated her 14th month last weekend (at the beach but that's for another post). Lilly Rose is growing so quickly, daily I'm seeing more of a Toddler and less of a "Baby" (insert a big emotional sob--yep, I'm THAT mom).
Lilly's Latest:
-- Actions: Cups her hands like "come to me, come here." I believe she caught on to this when she was learning to walk and I would do similar actions when trying to get her to walk to me. It's really cute.
At the store today Lilly said "HAY" (loudly) to everyone. Everyone! She's such a social little girl and wants to smile at anyone who will look her way.
Yesterday she and I got into a giggle fit while she was in the bath tub. Lilly made me laugh and I had put my hand over my mouth while laughing at her. Now, she puts both her little hands over her mouth, throws her head back and laughs really loud. Super hilarious... I cannot get enough of this child's personality sometimes.

-- Growing: Outgrew her baby pink Chuck Taylor's and first pair of jeans. Last week it seemed each day there was something that didn't fit all of the sudden. She literally grew one night while sleeping. ;) So, we purchased size 4 diapers, packed away a few of our favorites and began the summer wardrobe shopping. I believe we are set until later this Fall. Boy was it weird ordering 18 month clothes, she's supposed to be in 6 months still. Can you tell this has been hard on me?
-- Walking: Really well! I told the lady at the nursery desk this past Sunday when they asked if she was walking yet that "she is walking but a little wobbly still, not quite there" - when I picked her up after church I was told "Lilly Rose was all over the place, she had no problem walking" --- that about sums up this past week too. Lilly is everywhere and loving her freedom.
-- Goodbye: We said "bye-bye ba-ba" this week. As of 2/25 Lilly is drinking her milk from a sippy cup at bed time (and nap time). She's been doing great from a sippy for a while now but has been given milk from a bottle until recent. *Lilly, you've done great!!!! Not one cry about the change and you have not even asked for your ba-ba. I'm so proud of you big girl.* Now, to clean them really well and pack them up...am I ready for this? Yet another sign my girl isn't a little baby... which leads me to her swing...
-- Nap time: naps have always been in the swing because Lilly loves her swing. Since her birthday I've slowly made the change to naps in the crib. We haven't used the swing in 2 weeks. I'm not ready to pack it up yet. It's too final. But, Lilly has taken a couple big girl naps in her crib. Most days she just talks for an 1-1.5 hour(s) but there have been a few naps so I know she can do it. I am thankful that we don't have any problems at night (12-14 hours straight) so I won't complain too much about a long nap.
-- Meal times: still a pretty picky eater when it comes to "real" food or anything with texture. Therefore, we are still doing baby food to get in the veg/fruit nutrition for breakfast and dinner. We are slowly adding more foods and the most recent success was chicken. Yay for finally eating a protein at dinner. Favorite snack right now: Greek yogurt granola bites, gold fish and rice snacks. Loves a ice-cold sippy of water with all her meals.
And I'm just now realizing how terrible I've been at taking pictures in the month of February. I am not sure I have any to even post except iPhone pictures ... I'm going to look and dig something up. Blogs are no fun without picture's... :) I'm going to try and be better about taking pictures in March, cannot believe tomorrow we begin the month of all things Irish AND Easter! Didn't we just put the Christmas decor in the attic!?
