Usually the weekend doesn't mean much to me if Billy's working. The only difference is more people in the stores and on the roads. I've gotten used to frequenting my favorite places Monday thru Thursday anytime before 3pm and don't like the crowds anymore. Just call me an old lady! The joys and blessings of being home. This weekend though Billy is off, first in awhile, so we are so excited around here! Crowds and all we have lots of fun ahead. Happy weekend to all and to all a goodnight. ;)

No, No, Lilly Rose {tree love}
Lilly Rose loves the Christmas tree. She likes the sparkly ornaments the best, just like her mama! We're working on obeying and this happens to be the current learning tool.
She's thinking about it...
Lilly Rose, no ma'am...
Lilly Rose, no-no
Lilly, no ma'am!
"How serious is she?"
"Yay!"

Monthy Update {11 months}
11 months. 11 months. 11 months. Trying to let that fact sink in!
What a month we had...I'm going to be honest here... Lilly Rose, you were not your happy-fun loving self this past month and it was definitely one for the books. It was the day you turned 10 months old, just like you knew it was your 10 month birthday and time to switch things up a bit. Your mood changed and you were one cranky girl. About a week in (I can be a little slow) I realized you had to be teething and sure enough, you were. Every night this past month with the exception of two beautiful nights, you woke up 2-5 times. Yep, this past month was a sleepless month. So guess who else was cranky besides you? Mama! :)
Aside from the sleepless nights and cutting your two front teeth we did have a little fun. We celebrated Halloween and Thanksgiving during your tenth month. And important to note, as of this past week we are all getting more sleep. Yay for sleeping through the night again! Here's a little more of what you were up to this past month:
-- Lilly you wave and smile at E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E. and while it really is the cutest thing this mama has ever seen, you are sure to grab strangers attention who like to come over and talk to us (not my favorite thing). Let's just say our trips to Publix and Target are taking a little longer these days.
-- You can now walk the length of the couch holding on. You love to be on your feet and on the move!
-- Meal times have become a little more challenging as you've learned to throw food. Luckily we have Oliver to pick up the crumbs but we are definitely working on this as we don't like you tossing your food overboard.
-- Your two front teeth fiiiinnnnaaaaaallllyyyyyyy arrived! That was a very long 3 weeks of fussy, crabby, and sleepless lights but we are all so glad that is behind us (for now as I hear the molars are a bear).
-- Pointing with one finger, a new skill you've mastered and use quite often.
-- Walking with your stroller (baby walker) is one of your favorite activities. You love to toss out Minnie Mouse as you don't like anyone to ride in the stroller. It's very funny.
-- Talking: Lilly your new favorite thing to say is "hiiiiiii" or "heeeeyyyy" when someone walks in the room. You say "hi" to anyone and everyone.
Even though this past month is probably not my favorite because it was a little more tiresome, it was wonderful because it was with you sweet girl. I'm really enjoying watching you grow and become your own (very independent) little person. I cannot believe in about 4 weeks I'll be writing your last monthly post as you turn one years old. I've said it 100 times, I'll say it again... It just goes WAY TOO FAST! Love you so much Lilly Rose!
Stats:
Clothes - 6/9, 9mo and some 12 mo - mostly just in PJs (still in
newborn bloomers)
Shoes - size 3
Diapers - size 3
Hair - high, fuzzy, soft baby
hair but as of the past 2 weeks it is starting to lay down, depending on the day. It's a sandy blonde shade and getting a little thicker.
Eyes - hazel is the best way to describe them still
Thankful {Turkey Day & 11 months}
This past weekend was quite eventful. We celebrated Thanksgiving, Aunt Oana's Birthday, Yaya's Birthday and Lilly Rose turned 11 months. Whew!
I believe myself to be a thankful person. This year however was so much more meaningful. This was our sweet girls first Thanksgiving. Some days I am overwhelmed with how full my heart feels having the opportunity to be her mama. The wait for such a gift was well worth the hard journey and I'm forever thankful for my sweet, funny, goofy, social, loving baby girl! Along with this being Lilly Roses' first Thankgiving, Uncle Jordan was home with us as well... two extra blessings this Thanksgiving!
We goobled up some turkey, honey-baked ham, dressing and all the yummy sides until our bellies were stuffed. Of course we enjoyed the dessert buffet which included Aunt Rosie's award winning chocolate delight. Okay, I'm not positive it's actually won an award but it should, it's that yummy! Unfortunately, I was too busy talking, trying to feed my picky (still gerber eating) girl and feed myself so I didn't take any pictures. I wish I would have gotten one of Aunt Oana and Ra. We were glad Ra & V were able to join us this year, too! I do have a few from earlier in the day though that I must share...
My Lil' Turkey
Lilly Rose with Daddy and Great Grandma Kriner
I really wish I would've taken out the camera to capture sweet baby Hayes and the beautiful SK playing with cousin Carlo but alas, there's always Christmas. Speaking of Christmas our tree is up and I'm debating wrapping presents tonight...my favorite time of the year!

Time waits... {for no one!}
THE first Birthday invitations arrived today. Designing them made me feel a little sad that my baby is growing too quickly. Having them arrive and realize it's time to address so we can mail soon takes that reality to an entire new level. I realize that half my post are about time passing too quickly but ya gotta give it to this mama! I had no idea how fast until I had my sweet Lilly Rose. :) So, I'll be adding a 'pause button' to my wish list this year! Do you think Santa has any of those?

The 44th President {election day}
Yesterday was Election Day which means I had a late night watching the numbers roll in. Around midnight President Barack Obama was re-elected with a very close race against Mitt Romney. I have a heavy heart this morning thinking about the damage that will take place with the President given another 4 years.
Thankful that even though my choice did not win that my Father is still sitting on His throne in Heaven. We place our hope in Jesus.
We did take Lilly Rose with us to early voting last week. I pray one day she will be able to exercise her right to do the same in the free America I love with the tools we instill in her to make informed convicted decisions no matter the popular choice.
I'm thinking a little Christmas music, trip to Starbucks and Target may do the trick to lighten up spirits around here... :)

Trick or Treat {2012}
Halloween:: the holiday that comes around each year and we debate either to buy candy and hand out to kiddos OR turn all the lights off and hide out with take-out & a movie. You may be able to guess which decision I made last year when I was tired from a long day of work and had pregnant cravings. ;)
Yesterday I realized Halloween is so much more fun having a little one! I can't imagine the fun ahead on Christmas if Halloween is that much more exciting. :)
Lilly Rose enjoyed the neighborhood event before the trick-or-treating began. She's such a social baby and I'm seeing her personality emerge more when we are in public. She likes to smile, talk & wave to anyone. Even the puppy dogs. We went to a total of two houses (can you tell we didn't really want too much lute around here temping us!?) and then headed home to hand out candy. Lilly seemed to enjoy herself and we topped off the evening with It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.
On her way to trick-or treat!
Mrs. Karen's house was Lilly's first treat!
It was a Happy Halloween!
