Because I'm completely exhausted from another day of no naps (& there is still laundry to do). Here's our week in pictures.

Monthly Update {3 months old}
Lilly Rose turned 3 months old today. It's hard to believe 3 months have passed and my baby is no longer a newborn. She is growing so much and changing by the minute. It's truly amazing how fast little ones grow and learn. Here's a little of what we're up to:
-- Lilly found her tongue and likes to roll it around, I think she's fascinated with it. This promotes drool thus she's becoming a drooling baby.
-- Showing signs of independence already! Lilly definitely likes to keep busy, there's no chill and easy-going baby in our house right now.
-- Continues to sleep though the night in her crib but dropping more of her day naps. Today was the first day she didn't sleep more than 15 minutes at a time (and I think she only took 3 of those short cat naps). Luckily, she was so exhausted from being up all day she went down at 9:45, which never happens.
-- Favorite things right now: bath time, sing time with daddy, giggling with mommy during play time, strolls in the neighborhood, night time Bible stories and standing up - she really has strong little legs already. Oh, cannot forget that she's really loving her hair brushed. I get the biggest smile and coo when we brush her hair.
-- Week 12 (last week) we moved up to size one diapers and I put most of the NB clothes away. Today though Lilly wore a NB outfit, depends on the cut and brand.
-- We are still nursing and supplementing with 4 oz bottles and I am pretty positive she will be a great eater because it seems like we do a lot of feeding.
Happy 3 months Lilly Rose, life is so much more fun with you in it!
Happy girl in the mornings
I was singing, "happy 3 month birthday lilly rose" here before changing her diaper :)
Taking her monthly bear picture for Papa, wearing my newborn dress from Aunt Rosie. She would not smile while taking these pictures today. Wouldn't you know I got all smiles once I took her out of the dress and put the camera down! ;)
Lilly, look how much you've grown since you were one month old.
You are momma's pretty baby doll.

And the jury is still out on those baby blues but we'll continue to enjoy gazing into them.

St. Patrick's Day {12 weeks}
This past weekend we celebrated St. Patrick's Day. It's always a fun holiday with my family and we have a lot of fond memories celebrating this day together. Growing up, Irish music was part of our everyday normal - I always called it 'cleaning music' because mom would blast it through the house while cleaning. In college we would always stay at my parents house for a night or two during Spring Break (usually the week of St. Patty's Day) and Mom and Dad would be sure to make every one's milk and pancake's green all the while blasting the Irish music throughout the house to wake us all up for breakfast. After college we would travel to New York and go into the city for the St. Patty's Day parade and celebrate with my New York family.
This year I was looking forward to introducing miss Lilly Rose into this crazy Irish world. Since she was in the womb Billy would play Galway Girl for her. Now during sing time they still listen to some Irish music and Galway girl is a favorite of hers. I think it's important she knows part of her heritage. I know for a fact she will grow up in the coming years thinking her mother is crazy making a big stink out of the day, wearing silly green paraphernalia and singing at the top of her lungs... I did. :) Thankfully, Billy was off work on Saturday so we spent the day in Folkston. We sure did miss Jordan, Oana and Carlo! We did however have a nice visit with Aunt Rosie, Cousin Katie and the beautiful Sarah Kate. Lilly Rose sure did enjoy getting sugar from everyone. Even skype 'sugar' all the way from New York during our chat with Aunt Regina. Next year, I'll be sure miss Lilly has a green tutu! I was not exactly prepared and she had to sport a silver one with her green shamrock top. Oh well. Funny the details I would have never let happen BEFORE baby happen all the time now.
Here's a peek at our day.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Lately {11 weeks}
Things are good in the Bird house. Lots of prepping for spring, bleaching down porches and yard work, you know the fun stuff. We are enjoying daily walks & spending a little more time outdoors. Lilly is 10lbs now and filling out, super cute if I can say so myself. :) She's really enjoying a lot more activities now such as our walks, night time Bible stories (SO cute to see her little eyes look at the pages of the book while I read), playtime after feedings and rocking on the porch. She still loves sing time with daddy and swinging in her swing for short naps. Here's a peek at Lilly Rose, 11 weeks old.

Playtime {10 weeks}
Lilly is really starting to enjoy playtime each day. We spend about 20 minutes on her little jungle mat playing after breakfast. She's changing so much so quickly! It's really a blessing to be able to be at home with her.
Last night she slept 8.5 hours in her crib. That makes for one very rested and happy mommy! I think that's a great start to our week. Happy Monday!!
