I don't get on our actual computer that much. As a parent of a busy toddler, no explanation needed. There's not time to sit in one place with a busy 2 year old running ramped. I wanted to search something though and had LR sit in my lap. There was a pen and paper nearby so I showed her how to write her name (never too early for a teaching moment, right?). She actually wrote lines and exclaimed "L" several times. I was proud, told her she was doing a great job. The part of the story though that had me giggle and want to remember was when she saw her hands. I had let her down and remembered after that I had noticed a few pen marks on her tiny little left hand. She was writing with her left hand. I said "Lilly Rose, stop a minute and look at your hands. You have pen marks on them and mama needs to clean you up." She took one look at her hand, seemed shocked she hadn't noticed and said very certain and quite loud, "Gross!" - HA!
Lilly is SO MUCH FUN right now. Seriously, this two stage has been wonderful. We laugh daily around here with new things Lilly says. I even miss her when she goes to bed. Weird, right? Maybe it's time for a girls night out. ;) Here's a peak of Lilly lately for memory sake:
Lilly gets stuck between our legs (by putting herself there) and yells, "I suck!" Haha, -- Oh Dear!
Sings 'Jesus loves Lilly' ... SO sweet!! Her "lilly" sounds much like "na-illy" -- I'm not sure how she got that out of L but it's cute.
We had Sophie for the weekend and LR followed her around asking, "Sophie, where you going?" -- a little motherly much?
LR was singing with her teapot (a manners song of all things) and says, "no no no, mom, stop singing" -- she apparently didn't want me to join in the fun.
Lilly will stop in the middle of what she's doing and say, "mom/dad how are you?"
When I sneeze she will ask, "are you okay?"
my lunch date - refusing to smile for me ;)
We recently bought her some more shoes (a girl can never have enough) and she said "pretty, gorgeous" -- Lilly Rose is still a shoe loving girl, like her mama! The one area I don't hold back on spending, it's fun for both of us.
And she's into putting anything and everything on while playing - I think it may be time to start our princess dress collection!?

PJs, fun socks, apron, elmo bib and she ended up stacking necklaces on as well.
After bedtime milk and a few minutes of Elmo (or Mary Poppins, whatever the flavor is for the day) I tell LR it's time to go brush teeth and go to bed. She jumps off the couch, excitedly (not kidding) tells Daddy if he is home and Oliver, "niiiiiiight! seeeee yaaaaa! Bye-Bye" "night toys" -- ha! She is a dream to put to bed. This child seriously is excited about everything.
As most parents are of their own, we are very proud of Lilly Rose. We feel blessed to have such a loving, funny, life-loving girl. And not knowing if she'll be our only, I try to take each precious moment savoring in the fact that while life is complicated at times, messy and in valley's tough, it is also perfect. Perfect to me. I love my girl so much it hurts and extremely grateful for God giving her to Billy and me. She is our blessing from God. I doubt there's anything better in life than being a mama.
Family outings usual end up by the water with some froyo
Oliver when he made it back home. He looked like a beast, all that fur was keeping him warm while he played in the snow all winter.
And my kids are back together again. Lilly Rose is smitten.
Jaxx, 7 months - couldn't resist sharing this sweet face!
