What a summer we've had! I'm so thankful it's Fall and we have experienced some really nice weather lately. Lilly Rose and I love to spend time on the back porch after her nap and thankfully, it's been really nice out. Welcome Fall! Hopefully, the cooler weather will stick around. One of the many reasons we would love to move a bit north. The hot and hotter is getting boring.
We celebrated Billy's 35th Birthday this past weekend. Lilly Rose enjoyed the Happy Birthday song but wasn't interested in the cake. We love you Daddy, my love! ;)
Not sure about the sandbox at a friends birthday party.
LR pulled these out of my closet and tried them on... first time playing in mama's shoes.
Elmo and Milk on the Back Porch :)
I've said it a thousand times and I'll end up saying it a thousand more but Lilly Rose is growing TOO quickly! I mean, she is almost two! Two! She's noticeably grown so much just since we sold our home in June. I am loving this almost-two stage though!!! Lilly Rose is full of personality and according to her Yaya (who is allowed to be as biased as she wants) LR is the smartest baby girl, ever. ;) That just means she's learning well and applying her knowledge in everyday play. Yesterday, Billy said to LR, "thank you" and she said, "you're welcome" - ha! That was her first "you're welcome" -- she is definitely listening, storing information and repeating things.
Ready to hit the town!
Lilly knows all the letter's just not quite the order as we're working on that with the ABC song. She loves to sing! Another favorite is dancing to music, it's the cutest thing I've ever seen. Especially when she adds the songs hand motions...or just goes with the beat. Ha!
Playing outside, looking at books and watching her daily dose of Sesame Street are her favorite activities right now. Lilly is extra lovable these days giving and asking for hugs. She will come up to me, lay her head on my leg and say, "ohhhh, mama" (ha!). Giving kisses (muahs) are abundant and extra sweet if you ask me. ;) And I must add that Lilly Rose has mastered the pout manipulation trick and has been using it at least once every day or two. Seriously, it's pitiful and she's a pro at the big ol' pout lip turn tears if necessary.
And to not be forgotten Lilly LOVES to giggle. Everything is funny, a game or just plain fun! Especially when we have our favorite treat, Ice-Cream!
Oh, Lilly Rose, you are such a JOY to us and make our hearts so very full!
