Lilly Rose turned 19 months last week. One thing is certain, time moves at least twice as fast as a mama. It still surprises me 19 months later how quickly time passes. Billy already talks about Lilly Rose driving, college, etc. I reel him back in and say lets worry about future preschool possibilities first. I digress. Life lately has definitely been fun! Lilly has such a cute little personality blossoming that I look forward to each day knowing she's saying and doing more. We crack up around here. Since our move I've been realllly slack on documenting and picture taking. So I'll just post a few things I remember about this past month. Usually I write things down throughout the month but like I said, I've been totally slacking in this area.
Lilly Rose, you are 23lbs of giggles! You are definitely a lover of life as everything is a party. I love and admire this quality and hope its something you carry with you as you grow. Your lighthearted spirit and big smiles are contagious. You make us so proud. Lately your vocabulary has grown tremendously. You are repeating everything and adding new words to your vocabulary. A few new things you say are: Where's Daddy (papa, yaya)?, How are you? (Lilly will ask strangers in the store how they are doing 'heeeyy how are you'), I know (when we correct LR with something she will say, "I know" -- teaching yes ma'am is the best response ;), and Lilly can name and point to parts of body and face.
This past month you've learned to say "thank you" appropriately. Yaya came home with several pairs of new shoes from Mrs. Barbara's last week. After all the squeals, giggles and yelling of "shoooooes" you ran to Yaya holding as many shoes as possible in those little hands and said, "thank you, yaya"! Super sweet and so cute. You really know how to work the system around here. ;)
A few new things to document: When we get ready to leave the house you get so excited, stand by the door, saying "bye byes". Abby Cadabby is currently your favorite character. It's so cute when Lilly says, "Abbeeeeey!!" :) After prayers Lilly says, "Aaaamen". Frozen Yogurt is a new favorite treat. We like to share the strawberry froyo together. :) Lilly Rose also loves the pool. However, she's gaining independence and will only last a little bit in the float. Being outside and on the go makes for a very happy girl.
Lilly Rose you are a busy, busy toddler. Yaya compares you to your Uncle Jordan. Always happy and always getting into something. You keep me on my toes. We love you to the moon and back a trillion times sweet girl!
Oh how cute and sweet!!! THIS is a fun age! I know I always say that about all the ages, but truly the 18 - 24 month is so fun because of all the verbal growth!! Isn't it funny as heck?! LR may be able to use a Puddle Jumper in the pool now?? give it a try if you haven't already. There's one in the chest in the bedroom of the poolhouse if y'all swim at mom's again soon. It would give her freedom. She may be too little still, but maybe not! xoxo
