A week of firsts {big girl}

What a big week regarding "firsts" for Lilly Rose. She is currently breaking in her first molar and taking it like a champ. In fact, I believe she's working on two of them. Also, Lilly has figured out how to climb like a monkey and she's now up and down the furniture. I'm sooo not ready for the day she figures out the pack-n-play. As for the couches, ottomans and chairs...she's mastered them this week. Thus giving us a new dynamic around here and another reason to watch her every move.
Probably the most "document worthy first" that happened this week is a moment that *almost* brought tears to my eyes. Lilly she has been announcing recently when she is about to go "poo poo". So, one day we put her on the potty to see what would happen but she just smiled. Sunday night as Lilly was in the bath tub she announced she had to go # 2 - Lilly's exact words, "ma, poo-poo, do da dirty deed", ha! Her yaya must have taught her the "do the dirty deed" part because that definitely wasn't us. I was just proud she told me in the midst of playing in the tub! Moments later it was time to get out of the tub and I was drying her off and she told me again she had to "poo poo, do the dirty deed". So I put her on the potty and she went!

I now get why moms post this stuff on social media! Well, kind-of! They are proud mamas!! I'm a little too private for that BUT it's more than document worthy for the family book so all the details are here. ;) So after she went #2 she smiled SO big, we clapped and she said, "bye-bye" as I showed her how to flush. I was shocked and proud while trying not to think what a big step that is...which almost had me in tears, almost. And not only did she do that Sunday night, but she did it again today! That makes it twice in the past 2 days my 18 month old used the potty. Crazy! I'm so proud of my baby girl. She's growing too quickly. While I'm proud of her I'm not ready for any sort of potty training but I guess I will follow her lead. Lilly has always been the one to start/stop something in her developments on her very own. I guess I have a independent little girl. Hopefully we can make it to Disney again for her 2nd birthday before we are in full swing with this potty training business. I think we'll stick to "do the dirty deed" training for now. ;)
