Our baby is growing up! {9mo 4wks}

What a big 24 hours in the Bird house! First, we had to lower the crib! Yep, we wake up to a sitting baby (who knows how to bring herself to a stand) and another day couldn't pass without lowering that crib. Already!?

Thanks, Da-da!!
Secondly, we have a crawler! Last night I was playing on the floor with Lilly Rose and the next thing I know she's crawling towards the entertainment center. I jumped up to grab my iPhone to take video and after I captured it the phone decided it was full of memory and wouldn't let me take a picture. Ugh! So I ran in the library to grab the camera and took more video...forgetting to grab a picture! So this morning when our little mover decided to crawl this mama was prepared! I put Sesame Street on and just let her do her thing.

 Oliver is clearly unsure of this new milestone

When Lilly was a newborn the first couple weeks seemed to drag on and the only thing I'd hope for is sleep. That was my hope anyway. Sleep. No one told me those would be the only weeks that would drag on as the rest of the first year flys! During those first few days I had a quick thought about "this time (it was Christmas) next year" and quickly changed my thoughts because I wanted to savor each moment I had with that tiny tiny 5lb 15oz. baby girl. Now, I spend my late nights trying to prepare for that baby girls first birthday. The thoughts I pushed away are now 9 weeks away!

I've totally gone off post topic but the first crawl and lowering her crib made me a little sentimental. I think after her nap, I'm going to snuggle with that baby and savor each second of the remaining first year. It just goes WAY too quickly. However, I must say that even though it's going too fast, I'm having more fun each month and so proud of Lilly Rose!!

Good job, Lilly Rose on becoming a crawler! Mommy is in so much trouble... :)
