Lilly Rose is growing each day. There's so much to say, as a mom I could go on for days about every little thing. For now, I want to share just a few of the most memorable happenings of week 7:
More alert - Lilly is up for longer periods of time and takes everything in. She had her first Super Bowl Sunday and cheered along with us for the NY Giants. My Uncle John gave Lilly Rose this top, he went into the city so she could have a piece of New York. I thought it was appropriate Giants wear seeing we don't have anything with the team logo. :)
Wiggly baby! Lilly is a wiggle worm, you should have seen me trying to pose her for a decent picture. This is my great grandmother's chair and I thought it would be sweet to have a picture with Lilly on it while she's still tiny - this is the best I could do. She's such a wiggle worm and loves to stay on her side.
--She is up to 3 oz bottles when she gets them (I am still nursing)
--Found her index finger and likes to suck on it, I need to capture this.
--Continues to sleep 7-8 hours each night (praise Jesus!)
Smiling more however Lilly is not a 'easy to impress baby', we have to work for those smiles! (I'm wondering if this is just because she's still so little or she has a bit of my personality...hard to impress...hoping it's because she's still so little...). She sure does love her daddy though!
Lilly had her first outing to daddy's work, everyone loved meeting her. I took her down the lighting isle to teach her all about the important things: beautiful chandeliers :)
--Many official 'blow outs' during week 7. I had to strip her down and take her straight to the tub after we got home one night. Can we say that is LOVE cleaning up poop. ha!
--Calms down during sing time with daddy, she loves to listen to music.
And, my favorite part of week seven was calling my former employer to tell them our decision for me to stay home with Lilly Rose. Aside from everything that they did and all that happened to me while on maternity leave my heart was always here. No matter what we wanted to find a way for me to be able to be at home with Lilly and thankfully God has blessed us and made a way. We were not sure if this would happen. So, I'm super excited about this next chapter. Lilly Rose is almost two months, time is moving quickly as life seems to do and I'm glad I won't miss a beat!
